C.A.R.E. recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving

Crawford Abuse Resistance Effort (C.A.R.E.) was recognized by Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) with their “Difference Maker Award” on July 18^th at their annual banquet in Milwaukee.

The award was presented to C.A.R.E. by MADD’s National President Glynn Birch.

C.A.R.E. was nominated by Prairie du Chien Police Chief Mike King for their efforts to reduce underage drinking, limit youth access to alcohol, and educate the community. In the nomination, King referred to the Town Hall Meeting on Underage Drinking that C.A.R.E. organized in March that engaged more than 70 citizens in the effort to reduce teen alcohol use. The nomination also recognized C.A.R.E.’s youth leadership programs, alcohol compliance checks, and “Parents who host, lose the most” educational campaign.
