About Us
Crawford County's Promise movement is built into the infrastructure of C.A.R.E., or the Crawford Abuse Resistance Effort.

C.A.R.E. is a partnership of schools, law enforcement, medical and public health providers, faith-based organizations, youth-service organizations, civic groups, state and local government, parents, concerned citizens, and youth. Learn more about our partners and their programs.

C.A.R.E. began in 1989 and is now sustained by Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. Learn more about the History of C.A.R.E.

C.A.R.E. has an active youth committee called the Youth Leadership Committee or YLC. YLC is open to high school students in five area schools; Prairie du Chien, Seneca, North Crawford, Wauzeka, and Boscobel. YLC members address needs and complete service projects on a county-wide level.

CARE Coalition Meeting
C.A.R.E. Coalition meetings are held on the last Wednesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. at the County Administration Building in Prairie du Chien to plan and implement programs that address substance abuse prevention. Meetings are open to the public.

America's Promise: America's Promise is a collaborative network that builds upon the collective power of communities and partners to help fulfill the Five Promises for every young person in America.
