PALS for Good summer camp offered in three locations this summer
PALS, or People Actively Linked with Students, has teamed up with the Crawford Abuse Resistance Effort (C.A.R.E.) to offer summer day camp programs this summer in three locations; Prairie du Chien, Seneca, and Wauzeka.
The program combines the “Character Counts” and “Too Good For Drugs” curriculum for a comprehensive leadership training. Students learned and participated in activities to help with character building, decision-making, being respectful, citizenship, goal setting, and peer pressure refusal skills.
In addition to the character development lessons, students also participated in many “camp style” activities, including games, crafts, and other activities, such as making cards and delivering then to the Nursing Home, donating food and touring the Food Pantry, and making steping stones.
There were over 120 students entering grades 2 - 5 who attended this years PALS for Good Summer Camp.
