All Nighter 2007
Motivational speakers engage students in learning how to have a great high school experience.
Go in an eighth grader. Leave a high school student. "All Nighter 2007" is an overnight learning event for students entering 9th grade. The event includes a motivational speaker, leadership training, dance, pizza party, movies, games, and all-night activities. Sleep is optional. Speaker Tom Kidd will help students prepare for high school, covering such topics as: issues youth face today, taking advantage of new opportunities, resisting negative peer pressure, leadership skills, communication, and goal setting. Participants will also meet with high school mentors to ask questions and learn what high school really has in store for you. Mentors are part of C.A.R.E.’s Youth Leadership Committee, and assist with the lock-in planning. A youth event planned and run by youth! "All Nighter" is open to 9th graders at all area schools, including Prairie du Chien, Seneca, Wauzeka, North Crawford, Boscobel, River Ridge, and MFL-Mar Mac. The $15 participation fee includes all meals and snacks. Early bird registrations (By June June 1) are only $10.
